City employees are paid biweekly, every other Friday. The city observes a step pay plan system. An employee can anticipate a 3% step raise on his/her anniversary date each year until reaching step six of the pay plan.
The city has a good track record when it comes to annual cost of living raises. Any cost of living allowance is in addition to the regular step raise. Realizing and appreciating the value of loyalty, job knowledge, and employee initiative, the city also offers longevity and certification incentive pay to qualified individuals.
